The first rule of the soundtrack to Fight Club is that you don't talk about the soundtrack to Fight Club. The second rule of the soundtrack to Fight Club is that Mondo have reissued it on vinyl. In a sense it is strange that Fight Club stands as the only film to have been scored by the Dust Brothers to date – the evocative brand of sampledelia which the pair plumbed into classic records by the Beastie Boys and Beck lends itself perfectly to the silver screen. Indeed, it could be argued that the work that the Dust Brothers put in here went on to influence the iconic music that The RZA cooked up for the Kill Bill franchise a few years down the line.
