A sumptuous meeting of electronic minds, either party here needs little introduction. Even so its worth shedding light for those not initiated. AGF is married to DELAY, in other words the former is  production wizardess Antye Grele whilst Delay is Sasu Rippati (Vladislav, Luomo). Four years ago the duo released 'Explode' to rapturous underground acclaim. Familial connections unravelled what's the record like?

 

Programming the same digital/analogue channels of  of last year's Convivial, Rippati and Grele have mined a phuture pop masterpiece. A work beautifully produced and crackling with myriad details, dub-inflected textures and carefully crafted drum patterns. Puncturing the cold atmospheres are dystopic lyrics and frosty vox making for an anxious 21st century painting in sound.
