We Release Jazz, sister label to WRWTFWW, get on brand with a soulful jazz record. But this one’s more significant than it appears. Originally released in 1975, My Greatest Love counts among some of the first Boillet Thérace Quintet reissues. The LP is as totally virtuosic as it is vivaciously chipper, housing some whip smart and classy hard bop renditions of Freddie Hubbard’s ‘Gibraltar’ and Kenny Dorham’s ‘Blue Bossa’ (dig those trumpet and flute solos on the latter!)
