A producer who revels in subtly eschewing the familiar — in this case, breakbeat and drum n bass — RAMZi soaks in the amniotic warmth of quick-fire rhythms without complete submersion. Dappled balearic beats course through the likes of ‘nos enfants’ and ‘spring emu’, as RAMZi showcases his ability to conceive a sound straight from a late 1990s video game soundtrack — we’re thinking of a watery world level — on ‘baby boom 2020’.
