Here we have the fourth installment of the Microdosing EP series. Andy Rantzen and Strapontin’s ‘Join The Earth’ is a hugely arresting way to begin a record, its incantations bringing the fourth world into our own. This gives way to the slow dubwise lurch of Benedikt Frey’s ‘CNDY’, a track whose stern pulse sits somewhere between G36 and Stephen Mallinder - while these points of reference remain at a blurred distant vision. The final cut on Microdosing Vol. 4 is also the liveliest, Joakim encouraging us to ‘Macrodose’ with a sultry slice of New Beat.
