Four Quarters of Love and Modern Lash, St. Hilaire’s new collaboration with Deadbeat (Scott Monteith), evolves the work that he has done in the past alongside acts such as Rhythm And Sound and Modeselektor. These long tracks unfurl slowly, their questing drumbeats wreathed in delay and ground-shaking sub-bass rumbles. St. Hilaire hovers at the centre of all of this, his vocals tumbling down as if out of the sky.
