As is their prerogative, Parisian label InFiné deliver another fine release of cinematic and experimental composition. Bruce Brubaker and Max Cooper emerge from very different backgrounds; the former an innovative pianist, the latter a scientist-turned-synthesist. The resulting collaborative LP, Glassforms, sees the duo work in synchronous harmony on a set of Philip Glass pieces, reshaping the tender, searching nature of works from 1989’s Solo Piano and beyond into electronically charged ambient landscapes.
