The singular Portuguese label Principe Discos return with yet another singular release of, in essence, experimental dance music. But even that doesn’t do for Nídia’s second LP Não Fales Nela Que A Mentes, blending as she does strains of African Zou, Kuduro, Tarraxho and US R&B (with more than one wandering eye back towards footwork) into a strikingly vivid assortment of discombobulation, sent forth through a wild mixture of Arabic wind motifs and mutated rhythms.
