Somewhere Out There is a set of booming and brazen club tools from Corporeal Face. These tunes synthesise a number of classic rave sounds into a style that is at once slightly nostalgic and also forceful enough to stand out in a mix. ‘Phoenix 99’ and Somewhere Out There’s title-track are the most forthright numbers here, their clattering breakbeats and throbbing low-ends presenting like a (slightly) slower version of Skanna. Meanwhile ‘Just The Way To Be’ is a sultry industrial techno jam a la Jensen Interceptor and there’s some old-school acid-electro to Somewhere Out There’s closer ‘Mike Banks' Bus Pass’.
