Sumgii and Nah Eeto’s ‘Wanawake’ is a little different to your usual Swamp81 fare. Sure, the track still deals in the label’s dubstep-derived bassweight and halftimes, but the production here doesn’t have too much Croydon about it. Indeed, with the Kenyan MC’s enigmatic vocals layered over Sumgii’s alien beat, this track doesn’t really sound quite like anything you’ve heard before. An instrumental and remix from Loefah bulk out the Wanawake EP.
