After a striking return to label releases on Anna Von Hausswolff’s Pomperipossa Records, legendary electronic musician and multimedia artist Robin Rimbaud aka Scanner debuts on Ian Boddy’s DiN with the ambient-textured electronica of An Ascent. Crafted in direct response to a string of cancelled shows in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic and the proliferation of live broadcasts online, much of An Ascent burns slowly with terse tension befitting the brooding darkness of a Scanner set.
