Galaxy Lane’s The Night is an EP which contains tracks called things like ‘Deep Space Nine’ and is coming out on Lone Romantic, a label which has also issued records by (among others) Jensen Interceptor and Carl Finlow. As such, it's safe to assume from the off that this is a set of astrally-inclined club tracks. What is surprising about The Night is not its quality - that was never in doubt - but the stylistic range shown here. Across four tracks Galaxy Lane touches on Drexcyian electro, far-out Detroit techno and plenty of points in between.
