Fresh heat from The Advent! While The Advent is now the solo project of one Cisco Ferreira (G Flame) - former member Mr. G now has his own business to attend to - it’s no coincidence that these tracks run with the same dark energy one heard on records like 1995’s Elements Of Life. You see, Life Cycles dredges up a set of tracks from the project’s 90s heyday, their potential now unleashed for the first time. Starting from a base of hotwired, post-Drexciyan electro, Life Cycles also touches on hard techno, acid and a sort of more streamlined version of braindance. At a time when labels like Bjarki’s bbbbbb are twisting up The Advent’s sound into exciting new shapes, Life Cycles provides a timely reminder of what this project can do.
