As always, manic indie rock outfit Deerhoof find themselves on the edge of tomorrow, soaking existential anxieties and gloomy alienation of uncertain futures with erratic and unapologetic guitar music. Future Teenage Cave Artists hosts all the usual suspects — wily riffs and crooked rhythms abound its title track, wonky pop sensibilities inform the likes of ‘The Loved One’ and ‘Sympathy for the Baby Boo’ — all cloaked in some of the most immediate tunes of their long-running career.
