The 21st century has been no stranger to the development of studies related to hallucinogenic mushrooms, but for artists like Andrea Taeggi, the forest-wide networks of our fungal friends inform a sort of creative response. Mycorrhiza is a work of contemporary classical music at heart with a hardened electronic edge — composed on the ARP 2500 — utilising terse sonic clusters and white noise to form a labyrinthine system of sonic order.
