We've come a long way since our first release 14 years ago, morphing from purist techno to sounds that encompass many new and exciting rhythms expanding the scope of the genre. Now for the lovers of the original sound that spilled out of Detroit and rolled all over the globe we are proud to present the Debut E.P. of Madrid based Annie Hall. This girl has certainly been listening to all the right motown sounds and has learnt her lessons well. Simply put, this is as pure as techno can get and harks back to the renaissance of the mid nineties in a way that's gonna bring you back there with it. Opening with 'Comienzo' Annie works the filters through her squidgy analogue bass over a classic 909 beat that'l have your dog doin the robot. For the three remaining tracks she drives into four to the floor action utilizing abstract hawkings cut ups, all building towards 'Skywatcher' which introduces synth warmth that I previously only thought Boards of Canada capable of. This is an essential plate for true technoheads.
