DJ Die Soon’s Kappa Slap LP oscillates between noise-techno innovations and … well, just plain noise. The album’s party-starting tracks often feature vocalists - Ugandan MCs Lord Spikeheart, MC Yallah and ECKO BAZZ provide points of orbit for the industrial beat-tracking of their respective tunes, all of which warrant the term hard dance. The rest of Kappa Slap scurries off down a variety of wormholes, many of which end up producing the kind of erratic, technoid noisescapes one finds nestled amid Container LPs.
