One tends to go to Rocket Recordings for the heaviest in modern psychedelia and noise-rock. However, while there is certainly a potent trippiness to be found around the edges of Kooba Tercu’s Proto Tekno, this LP drives on with a more mechanical precision than, say, Goat or Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs. An influence of golden-age Suicide is keenly felt, likewise the D.A.F. - though the latter never buried their mixes as deeply in distortion as Kooba Tercu do here.
