The forward-thinkers of experimental techno over at Non and D Tiffany’s label XPQ? present a beautifully organised set of chaotic tunes courtesy of married mystery couple Low Budget Aliens. For all we know, Junk DNA could be the debut of some seasoned veterans or otherwise total newbies — either way, there’s something fresh about its classiness. ‘Crash Landing’ holds no eardrum sacred with an oversaturated stargate of synthesised sound, before becoming enveloped in the clattering broken beats of ‘Hazardous Waste Pump’ and ‘Ignot’. Acid junctures and viscous noise wind things to a close, ending with intergalactic joyride of ‘Level 1 2 3 4 5’.
