After a sojourn to Dolly Dubs in 2019, Italian duo Late Night Approach are back with Klakson for a new EP that presents more of their charmingly unusual brand of electro. The influence of Drexciya and Rephlex can be heard in the squirming grooves which anchor the trio of Late Night Approach originals on The Naus Investigation, but the aquatic production and reverb-heavy, slightly dubbed-out atmospheres also have one thinking of Ilian Tape. The Fastgraph flip of ‘Overbridge’ removes those textures to focus on a needle-gun machine-funk groove.
