Rotterdam Electronic release their next in a flawless run of cutting edge techno work-outs with Lenson’s Calandline. With discs out on Tar Hallow and self reflektion, and a host of split releases alongside the likes of Thanos Hana, the enigmatic producer has been quietly rocking the underground clubs of Europe (and Rotterdam in particular) with dark swirls of acid-soaked bangers, and they show zero signs of letting up. This disc in question showcases exactly what they do best, kicking off with the pitch black rave aesthetics of ‘Calandline’ (washed and smeared into abstraction by Betek’s consequent remix), following up with a plateau of bloops on ‘Density’, and ending with crystalline, vaulting elevation on ‘Uit Mood Geboren’.
