The second of Tamburi Neri’s Works drops finds the Italian duo journeying deeper into their dubbed-out take on cosmic disco. The pair of Brioski and Andrea Barbiera deliver hugely atmospheric tunes here that are clouded by the same sort of dark, peyote-trip fug one normally associates with the novels of Hunter S. Thompson and William Burroughs. Given that the influence of Passarani is strong on this one, it was a good call for Tamburi Neri to get Passarani himself in to deliver Works #2’s centrepiece, a remix of ‘Religion Rebel’.
