Those who had their love for bleep techno rekindled by Matt Anniss’ recent book Join The Future - or its equally-excellent accompanying compilation LP of the same name - should make NYZ’s OLD TRX [87-93] their next move. This is scuzzy, lo-fi Bleep fare from the archives of the Entr’acte/Death Of Rave favourite. Indeed, to modern ears cuts like ‘damage’ and ‘Uoldbastard’ sound not-dissimilar to the scuffed-up freakbeat drops that have been emerging on L.I.E.S. in recent years.
