After the runaway success of their first cruising venture to the neon lights downtown, Light In The Attic take another spin around the secret hotspots of 1970s and 80s Japan’s bubble-era with Pacific Breeze 2: Japanese City Pop, AOR & Boogie 1972-1986. LITA expertly curate a diverse host of artists labeled with the nebulous ‘City Pop’ term — no single discernible genre, but a mish-mash of AOR, R&B, jazz fusion, funk and disco, saturated with the light of a tropical sunset. Featured among the rare and unheard (in the West, at least) of Pacific Breeze 2 are the likes of Bread & Butter, Kimiko Kasai and Tetsuji Hayashi.
