We’ve barely caught our breath since the release of Alfa Mist’s On My Ones EP back in April and the rising London jazzer is already on to the next one. Here he teams up with Richard Spaven as 44th Move for a wide-ranging EP. Anchored by a smoky post-jazz flavour, the pair bring in King Krule-style anti-balladeering (‘Fly’), impressionistic, To Pimp A Butterfly-esque soundscaping (‘Hope’), the grooving Detroit moves of Moodymann (‘Broken’) and plenty else besides.
