Offered with the wayward spirit of an outsider musician who nevertheless knows their way around a studio, Californian weirdos Sun Araw go full space rock in their own unique way with Rock Sutra. A plethora of live and MIDI instrumentation form Rock Sutra into a cornucopia of colourful sound, recalling Talking Heads as much as Parliament Funkadelic, with more than a hint of 1990s lo-fi. Never has space travel seemed so downright wacky.
