Nick Araguay debuts on Sähkö with a new three-track set, simply entitled EP. This is a delightful collection that brings to mind a more playful and stylistically adventurous version of the jazz-indebted garage-house records that (Matthew) Herbert made in the 90s. Opener ‘Gédéon’, with its minimal beatwork and Weather Report-inspired bass flourishes, is delightfully light. The other two tracks here maintain a feeling of woozy beauty despite moving a little closer to the centre of the dancefloor.
