Squirrels On Film. The label’s sixth release comes courtesy of Floridian producer Chris Mitchell, and on SOF 006 the Vanguard Sound/Anunnaki Cartel homie drops a set of DJ tools that sit at the intersection of his home state’s booty bass sound and the distinctly frostier climbs of coldwave, minimal synth and EBM. It’s an odd mix on paper, but just throw down a tune like ‘Grippers’ and see how the club reacts. Fans of L.I.E.S. will surely get a kick from SOF 006.
