Just to be clear, Kouslin’s new EP is called 2020 Vision but has not been released on Ralph Lawson’s label of the same name. The set has in fact emerged via Peverelist’s Livity Sound, and the imprint proves a good fit for Kouslin’s fiery blend of bass-techno sensibilities and dancehall rhythms. With its thumping dem-bow beat and scurrying, acidic bassline, a cut like ‘Sharper’ would have slotted nicely into one of Mr. Mitch’s recent techno-dancehall mixes.
