Bleep

Out on Last Resort, Lemon Quartet’s Crestless is a languid and alien jazz landscape, informed by their American midwest surroundings and more than a little dosage of contemporary lo-fi composition. Marimbas ring out, a saxophone flits through the air, and a musical sensibility not unlike a film score fills the ear-space. It’s relaxed, it’s menacing but, most notable of all, it confounds genre boundaries.
