Invisible Cities is another singular LP from Bristolian artist Memotone. The sensibility of these murky curios is clearly derived from industrial pioneers like Nurse With Wound, their clattering, clanging tones coming off like someone stumbling around a basement in the dark. However, the tracks are balanced out by some graceful, stately wind instruments that have plenty of Field Of Reeds-era These New Puritans about them. The overall effect of Invisible Cities comes off not unlike early Ryuichi Sakamoto.
