London duo Two Shell have been hovering around the Livity Sound crew since the latter part of 2019, but this new two-track EP sees the pair step out via the freshly-minted Mainframe Audio imprint. A-side ‘N35’ is a cousin of Ploy’s underground hit ‘Ramos’, its polyrhythms whirling around the speakers as chopped-up vocals hark back to the early days of Swamp 81. On the flip the more ethereal, breakbeat-driven ‘Missing In Action’ has us thinking of Bastakiya Tapes and Peach Discs.
