Alchemical chopper and changer Wolff Parkinson White brings his stuttering electronics to his Nonplace label debut. A tantalising follow-up to his 2020 release Favours, the Small Favours EP picks up where its predecessor left off, pairing cerebral rhythms — in the register of what one might call ‘IDM’ — with genre-spanning vocal performances from guests including Norah Jones, Pascal Le Bouef and Desmond White. It’s a rare thing for experimental electronica to sound quite so pleasing to the ear.
