Tod Dockstader’s 2005 full-length Aerial 1 makes it to vinyl for the first time thanks to Important Records. The first release of a trilogy, this set of spectral drones was whittled down from more than ninety hours of shortwave radio recordings made by the late Dockstader. Blended, treated and collaged by Dockstader, the resulting music is hazed and haunted in a manner that brings to mind a more dark-hearted version of Eliane Radigue.
