Unseen Worlds prolong the steady and strong output of genius guitarist-composer Leo Takami with his third LP Felis Catus and Silence. Unique among contemporary composition, Takami’s striking blend of classical, jazz, Japanese ceremonial music, and process-oriented arrangements lend the vibrant marimbas and strings across this LP — ‘Unknown’ in particular — an unearthly and alien quality, a hyperreal landscape portrait, moored to reality again by his virtuosic guitar approach.
