Limited-edish drop from Donato Dozzy and Eric Cloutier here. The pair contribute one track per side to Palinoia Ltd 00, and the two tunes complement each other perfectly. Dozzy’s ‘Aquatica’, a fan-favourite for some time but only now getting an official release, is a smoky, snaking minimal techno delight. Flecked by dubby atmospheres, the track’s progress is heady and hypnotic. Cloutier’s ‘Ekpyrosis’ runs with the vibe on the flip, though this number also employs a shade more tone in its subtly EBM-flecked synth loops and haunting keyboard pads. This is strange, powerful music which will lull you to the rocks.
