The Cinematic Orchestra’s 2019 LP To Believe was quite an event - it was the London group’s first studio album in over a decade, after all. As such, it only makes sense for the band to wring more goodness out of the record in the form of two remix EPs. Presented here as a bundle, these eight tracks find many of the remixers meeting The Cinematic Orchestra’s chamber jazz-pop style halfway. Entries from Fennesz, Lucinda Chua and Kelly Moran spin the To Believe tracks out into the ether, their contemporary classical/drone tones only heightening the stirring emotion of the originals. Mary Lattimore goes even further, her harp taking ‘Wait For Now’ to the heavens. Anthony Naples’ moves To Believe’s title-track into house territory - as do The Cinematic Orchestra themselves on their own flip of ‘Zero One/This Fantasy’ - while Actress skirts the edge of the dancefloor. Pépé Bradock completes an all-star lineup.
