Long-time Brooklyn producer, label boss and serial spinner of trend-setting tunes Adam X digs deep into his back catalogue and pulls up a crunchy set of acid jams. Acid Archives 92-94 may document a bygone era of warehouse partying, but Adam X gives off the air of timelessness here, making the arms race to produce faster, harder and stronger joints a project worth revisiting. It follows that the likes of ‘Octane Propellant’ fit the bill perfectly, as do many of these tracks; a downright nasty sequenced bass drives each one in an exponentially accelerating volley with its manic drum programming.
