While this one may be Dance by name, the new Blank Mind drop from label head-honcho Sam Purcell is not all club bangers. Ok, so the title-track which makes up Studio Pads’ A-side is a low-slung roller which draws from Chicago house, UK funky and the quixotic club takes of Bass Clef. Sure. But have you checked what's on the flip? Because to us ‘Murmurs’, with its dub-techno synths, low murmurs of bass and faint chirrups of birdsong, sounds very much like the chillout at the end of the night.
