XCPT Issue the third of their Time Horizon compilations, previous installments of which had included work by (among others) Chris Mitchell and Kreggo. All six of the contributing artists here serve up future-forward club tunes which balance hard-bitten sonics with a pleasing playfulness. Many of the contributions skirt close to Basic Rhythm’s technoid tower-block aesthetic, though Train to Eltanin drops some bad acid while DJ Plant Texture jacks up the tempo on juke jam ‘Yeah Boy’.
