Following Kolmar and Palindrome, UK composer and jazz pianist Max de Wardener returns to Village Green for more interstitial meditations. Borrowing from the radical musical avant garde philosophies of Harry Partch and La Monte Young, Music For Detuned Pianos is a deceptively simple exploration in microtones on piano and electronics, largely improvised and technically hardcore, providing for un-easy listening of the highest order.
