On his debut drop for Biologic, Global Warming Records boss Malcolm delivers an EP of psychedelic house grooves under the title of Baptem. Both Malcolm’s solo production ‘Badman’ and the رڭ ی ل Glitter٥٥ collaboration ‘Damaa’ see steady beats which operate at the slower end of the danceable spectrum ordained by all manner of trippy production tricks and, in the case of ‘Damaa’, some modal vocals from the Moroccan guest. Baptem’s tempo rises on both ‘Schaerbeek’, a Lorenzo Senni-esque collaboration between Malcolm and Marc Mélia, and Nathan Micay’s cyber-techno remix of ‘Badman’.
