2016’s No Further Ahead Than Tomorrow LP, finds Schnauss in a give-and-take with artists who have in turn been influenced by him - the likes of Tycho, Jon Hopkins and Bonobo - as well as the presence of older luminaries like Plaid and Brian Eno, can all be heard on this record. There is a dawn chorus feel to the sort of shoegaze-baggy sound of cuts like almost-title-track ‘No Further Ahead Than Today’ while ‘The Magic In You’ channels the ecstatic rushes of Broadcast.
