Fledgling label Few Crackles caused quite a stir with their debut drop back in 2018, a new-age/techno/concrete thing from Бassae. Now the imprint that started as a series of Parisian soundsystem shubz returns with a bumper collection of cassette mixes. Lil Toby, Felix Hall, Mother, Jon K and the duo Ntn & Ssabae each contribute a full side of riddims to this triple-tape collection. As such, we are treated to a veritable feast of leftfield dancehall/bashment styles, from Hall’s melodious flow to the more abstract takes of Mother and Jon k.
