Like that excellent recent Person LP from fellow New Yorkers P.E., Sunwatchers’ Oh Yeah is a collection of vibrant and vivacious art-rock. However, where P.E. dealt in wry disco-punk, Sunwatchers send their tracks up in flames. Trilling guitars, saxophone, bass and drums are spun out into rambunctious and ragged frenzies here. Oh Yeah? is kind of like a hopped-up bar-band take on the precision-engineering of Battles’ Mirrored - and that, as you might imagine, makes for an immensely fun listen.
