Following up a host of decade spanning releases on Not Not Fun and Kaleidoscope, Tokyo based producer Sapphire Slows returns to Nous for a downright lovely four track offering. Each track on the Emotion Still Remains opens a small window into the producer’s world, heralding a much more minimal approach than anything she’s done in the past. ‘Will Tell You A Story’ crafts a gorgeous ambient texture from a solitary blip, punctuated by wayward percussion befitting the finest of Laurie Spiegel’s work, matched with Cucina Povera’s sense for the unexpected.
