L.A. Club Resource welcomes a Chicago house legend back to its release schedule with the venerable Gene Hunt’s After School. This 12” features three essential cuts from Hunt’s archives, and it’s exactly as good as you’d expect. We’ve got all hand-claps and manic tom-tom action on ‘Body Talk’; squelching modulars on ‘Oooh Shit’; and perhaps most surprisingly, a nicely crisped number in the title track, which reimagines a curiously Crash Bandicoot-esque beat for dance floors the world over.
