The 2016 debut LP from Kl(Aüs) presented a modern update of the Berlin-school kosmische sound. On their follow-up record - fittingly entitled 2 - the Sydney-based duo evolve that sound into something more distinctive. The influence of artists like Tangerine Dream and Holger Czukay is still keenly felt here, but Kl(Aüs) also push out for pastures new on the grainy drone of ‘Alma Febles Struggles Into The Night’ and the Vangelis-esque synthetic cinema of ‘Heroes Of 1986’ and ‘On The News It Looked Like She Was Floating’.
