Another year, another forgotten noise classic unearthed by Hospital Productions. This time, Japanese artists Masonna’s (aka Maso Yamazaki) Shinsen Na Clitoris gets the attention it deserves as a bona fide architect of what came to be known as Japanese “harshtronic” sound. Originally released in 1990, the manic and constantly shifting clatters and shrieks of Maso’s craft sounds as alarming and abrasive years later as they did at harsh noise’s birth.
