For multinational artist and musician Li Yiley, sonic presence and absence are inseparably intertwined and — after years of electronic and avant garde experimentation in various forms — Unabled Form makes good on her studiously minimalism worldview. Musical shapes weave in and out of perception — mournful one moment, gently uplifting the next, even shrill at others — surrounding themselves with sporadic field recordings from an urban setting. Still, there is a deeply psychedelic mode to each and every one of Li Yiley’s artistic choices.
